You will probably not be able to buy a single block of wood, is the ideal size, but call a few local mills to see what they have. They also make a few phone calls to shops in wardrobe, it is possible that the wood of sufficient size and certainly will help you determine whether you take a small box at the mass of a piece.

As for the connection, if it can be a sound sculpture, possibly drilling a few holes at the bottom of the torque for a bolt or screw can to similar holes in the base of the epoxy adhesive adapted or combined base and sculpture. A carpenter can certainly help and, if necessary, and may be an idea to have the best work!

Unfortunately, this would have been a better idea to have anticipated this need and the clay was still soft and can easily make holes or screws in it. Places that sell pieces of the lamp, including some craft, with wood bases, usually with a 1 / 2 "hole for the mounting shaft of light that have through the wire. It is to be done often. Finished with his work leave because the intensity of the dry clay in the air (I've received some as a regular sound), you can be hit directly with a silicone adhesive http:// www. mikegigi.com / E # glues.htm GOOP - 6000, or even 100% soft silicone adhesive. Otherwise, you may be able to make a hole and glue in a bone or a piece of all threads.
